    Yes i use cumin powder – works fine. I also dont have the asafetida, but it all works fine and it fab n tasty. yum yum, now i’m hungry again!

    The red peppers are to make a “hot chili oil” and cayenne for a extra spice. You do not need either. Most of the flavoring comes from the other ingredients

    I’ve tried this 3 times already and it never turns out like yours. I need that pot that you have so that it doesn’t stick. I use a stainless steel one. I have fried the spices then added the rice and water and covered and cooked it. It was delicious this way too. I will keep trying.

    What type of pot it that. It’s not tefelone is it? Thank you!
