Really? A goose is traditional in Germany? I lived there for 6 year’s and never knew anyone who ate that. I was in Hessen area. Near Wetzlar. W/ Germany. I knew alot of German families.

Yes it’s fatty but most of the fat drains out like seen here!
btw. that fat is pure gold…PURE GOLD!
If you don’t like chinese 5spice, use your own favorite spice mix, no hard rules here!
I’ve seen german Chefs rubbing the bird with only rough sea salt and good olive oil…
Anyway, it’s gonna be good, believe me…
